Katherine Grace Bond has written or contributed to more than 20 books including the bestselling Legend of the Valentine (Zonderkidz) and three collections of poetry, Considering Flight, Yielding to Calliope, and The Sudden Drown of Knowing (Brass Weight Press).
Katherine is a contributing editor for Beyond Magazine, poetry editor for The Handmaiden, and has published extensively in literary journals, children’s and family magazines and anthologies such as Clubhouse, Margin: An Online Journal of Magical Realism, Stories for the Extreme Teen’s Heart, Chicken Soup for the Romantic Soul and Fruitflesh: Seeds of Inspiration for Women Who Write (Gayle Brandeis, HarperSanFrancisco), which was a Booksense 76 pick.
She is secretary to PEN Washington and since 1995, she has mentored The Inducers of Insanity young writers cooperative.
A homeschooler and former teacher, Katherine lives in Duvall, Washington with her husband, Fr. Andrew (an Eastern Orthodox priest) and children Sarah (18), Isaac (16), Aaron (13) and Thomas (10). One lovely Labrador and a predatory cat also make their home with the Bonds, as well as at least half the residents of the Snoqualmie Valley.
